Marcela Cabrera is an Award-Winning Art Director, Graphic Designer and Illustrator from Caracas, Venezuela.
In her various roles in the creative industry whether in interactive, marketing, packaging and publishing, her work has earned multiple awards from reknown institutions such as Adobe Systems, Gamma sutra, IBBY, National Library, iParenting Media, Dr.Toy, Newsweek, The Bologna Book Faire and Communication Arts, among others. Her most recent Public Art works is currently part of the brand identity for the Santa Monica Public Library in Los Angeles, California. In addition to receiving five National Library Awards in Venezuela for Excellence in Editorial Design and Illustration, Marcela is also the recipient of the IBBY award in Switzerland as one of the 100 Best Children’s Book Illustrators in the World. Her editorial art has been exhibited at Museum of Contemporary in Caracas, as well as the Junior Art Center in Los Angeles, California. As a spokesperson and as a volunteer, Marcela has increased youth awareness as well as provided professional opportunities in the creative industry through various domestic and international events and radio broadcasts such as the Latinoamerica Game Expo, Marcela Cabrera currently lives and works in Oakland
NPR National Public Radio, and The Center for Cultural Innovation, among others.

Marcela Cabrera is bilingual Visual Designer and Fine Artist from Oakland, California. As a Designer, Marcela specializes in creative solutions from concept to product for print and interactive media. As a Fine Artist, her work is defined by her life experiences as a woman and the society she lives in. Her work is known for its raw use of color, textures and materials, and the organic and visceral nature of her imagery and use of subject matters.
