BEE JAY is a self taught artist whose work is heavily influenced by Black American cultural and historical perspectives, and the Christian faith. 

BEEJAY began drawing at the age of 4 and works primarily in acrylics; but also uses mixed media, fabric, and drawings. She creates paintings and greeting cards as well as book, compact disk covers, and wheel cover designs. BEE JAY was a children's art instructor from 1999 until 2004, but relinquished those responsibilities to pursue a Master of Divinity degree.
