I began drawing around age 6, was first published at age thirteen in SI for Kids, created my own comic strip for the Berkeley High School newspaper entitled, "The B. High Years." Around 4 years ago I enrolled at the Academy of Art, where I am studying traditional illustration, fine art drawing and painting, and concept art. I won 1st Place, Best Drawing of the Year for the Fine Art department last year. I had my first solo art show, designed and produced my own clothing apparel, have sold work and received commissions for portraits, and have worked with muralists John Pugh, Dan Fontes, and Precita Eyes in San Francisco.
I hope to utilize my God-given gift for drawing and painting to present a different view of the world, to draw people towards social realities that they might not be thoughtful about or concerned with, to compel individuals to differentiate between a "cause" and a crisis, such as young black men dying as much as they do in our own cities on American soil. My long-term goal is to create murals, public art, and exhibitions that actually change and evolve cultural priorities and thought.
